According to Jobs, iPad is Magical. But Ballmer says it's a just another PC

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, countered the idea, that, the era of PC is waning. Maybe he can't sleep over the idea, a PC being a big old farm truck. That carries nothing but stacks of hay. Compared to the automatic and sophisticated cars in the city, Steve Jobs could mean that the PC has no longer a place in the current technology trend.

But, Steve Ballmer says otherwise. The iPad is just another PC with a different form factor. What the Apple did with the b was indeed magical. But then, at the end of the day, users send e-mails, surf the web and create documents in a PC. PC's are not created equal. With the iPad's limited functionality, it just can't do as much as a PC does and not everbody could afford it.

Is the iPad a PC?

Of course, it is. Steve Ballmer is right. An iPad is a PC of difference form factor. Although, since its inception for the concept designs and its release, many have come to think to what category it may fall. It's unclear though, nevertheless, it doesn’t matter. The b is simply, Magical, and Steve Jobs was right about it.

What could Ballmer refer to as a PC? Does he expect it be with, peripherals dangling with a wire in a CPU? If the iPad can't do as much a PC does, well, maybe. But, the point here is, the iPad will just do just right. I don't want to overwork it. It's not a workhorse, but a personal device that I could carry everywhere and will do most of the PC does in most of the activities during the day.

After, a long day work with the iPad it's time to give it a rest. What would I do with a "Ballmer's PC" at the end of the day when I have done most of it with the iPad.

Not everbody could afford an iPad. Yes, it's true. Yet, not all can afford a PC either. It funny though abouth this two rivals, is that they have both in common. They are both Steve's. Maybe they could agree after all.
