Diabetes No More, at last?(Health)

Got the sweet tooth? I'm sure this would be the best news for you. with the latest advancement in in the field of medicine, researchers have successfully produced insulin from sperm producing cells.

Indeed, one of the pillars of procreation, had been found to be a way for a cure somehow. In their research they intend to coaxed these cells into making sufficient insulin to cure Diabetes. Sperm-producing cells Coaxed to product Insulin.

The  process cured a mice with Type 1 Diabetes for a short period of time. Although, the goal wasn't met, this should make way to the real cure.

Even though they have shed light for a Diabetes cure, this doesn't mean we have to go about with our sugar intake irresponsibly. Our body, in its natural state, is self curing. But, I guess too much of something is as bad with too much with nothing. So, keep them on the moderate with the guilt as well.

Who is sancho panza's master?

This sounds a little trivia, and if your a literature inclined person, and you are familiar with Don Quixote then you can answer this.

And who's Sancho Panza's master? It is Don Quixote. I'm not telling the famous Spanish comedy novel. But, what helped the Amazing Race winner Nat and Kat.

By answering the question, Nat and Kat had to play a game show challenge at Quixote Studios and emerged as Amazing Race Season Finale winners.

After a series of mind and physical challenges, Nat and Kat, grabs the grand $1 million prize and became the first women team to win the Amazing Race.

Amazing Race 18 will premiere on February 20, 2011 with the title "Unfinished Business". It looks like there'll be some retribution or some come back. And it will be, because according to source, they'll bringing back some "loosers" or favorite teams from previous seasons.

Now you know who Sancho Panza is?

Apple: Got tired?iOS 4.2 Disabled Jailbreak detection API

Is Apple, got finally tired? Or, are they just rethinking their Jailbreak detection API? I'm sure they're not. Instead, they playing it dead and simple the business way.

After introducing, the Jailbreak detection API, was disabled through the iOS 4.2 update. The said API enables third party MDM to access iOS system information.

In less than six months since its introduction, Apple just disabled the detection utility which left Third party developers with a big "Why"? Is that right and is fair at all? Well, technically, those third party MDM's can't do anything about it.

They have they chance for the flaw and I'm sure they have collected something from it. The question is, does apple knew it before hand? If they do, that was just careless.

More movies to Netfilx? don't bother, I got YouTube.

The best thing in life is free. Of course, it is and who wouldn't want to. Are you tired of those enticing links that says "click here for the free stuff" or "watch the full movie for free". Don't bother, they'll just direct you to a site to where you have to answer an IQ questions or something to divulge you credit card info and promise not to cost a dollar. If were offering a free stuff, I'd rather not let my viewers to suffer.

I'm a movie lover myself and watch most of it on the net. Yeah, amidst of all the paid sites, there are still out there who are very kind to share there library of movies even with the risk of copyright infringements.

Is this the first time? What does this means? From the looks of it really is in serious condition. Just imagine those tiny birds lifting up a full grown whale. Do they have a good sense of ratio and proportion?

It is not a surprise actually for twitter can most often undergone situation such as this. Traffic overload is inevitable by the way and it is the most common problems to websites. Specially, to high traffic social sites, it is a nightmare to administrators and technicians when it comes to this situation.

Science: Asteriod Chaser, Hayabusa, Returns with samples[Space]

Since, the Space Race or even before the human race have gazed upon the stars, we have always wondered what is really out there in the vast boundless area of of the universe. The moon landing was the biggest leap for mankind. Although, it was shadowed with controversies, as to we ever did step on the moon. Getting there was the first step and going back with "presents" is the most successful thing.

After a seven year journey, the Japanese made satellite, Hayabusa, has finally come home. Launched in May 2003 to land and get samples from Itokawa, a potato shaped asteroid. The $200 million Asteroid Chaser had traveled 2.5 billion miles, collects dust and hope to return home with the collected samples on a 3.53 containers it carries & the best part is, melt into the earth sky during its re-entry and hopes that it releases the capsule containing the expected samples.

How To: Remove Google Background Image

It was a surprise that Google adopted the search customization. Maybe just got tired with the White page background and opted to what, Microsoft's, b had done. With Bing, it was good to see. But, with Google it's not that pleasing. It's more like of annoying.

Getting your Google Search Page background changed is very easy. There's a "Change Background Image" that you will find on the lower left of your Google search page. A simple click and you may render from various themes from Google or you can upload Photos from your PC. Of course, you first have to log-in to your Google account.

Movies: '80s re-configured.

Recent movies produced recently were indeed a hit and spectacular. Big production, great actors and stunning visual effects. From the trailers and previews, it doesn't fail to wow us. Well, most of them. Most of all love the movies. It's an affordable mode for recreation other than vices. In spite of a tight budget, we just can't let a good movie pass us by.

But, haven't you notice, most of the movies we have lately are blast from the past. You may not notice it, for you may not feel like 'DejaVu'. Were not being "time zapped into the past. But, the main point is, do we have any fresh writers today or any other screen or novel writers out there for a movie franchise? Instead of making new movies, we are relying mostly on remakes. What's making it worse we have 1, 2 or 3 franchise for that same movie, a Trilogy in other words.

Apple: iPhone 4G is changing the way we connect[FaceTime Ad]

In line with the recent launch of the iPhone 4G, movie Director Sam Mendes, intricately brought up the beauty and ingenuity of the latest Apple product. Mobile telecommunication have evolved so much, within the last 5 years, many players have came in and nothing have surpassed the world's experience with the iPhone.

With the iPhone 4G, a special ad was created with the "FaceTime" Ad. The Ad depicts the key feature of the new iPhone, which is the video chatting with an HD screen display. In this feature you can let your caller see you and what the camera see from you - it's like a mirror of yourself in a small window at the screen.

The “FaceTime” Ad was superb. Well done, and not mushy in the sense that it most shown and aim the emotions of the viewers.

Photos: Clare Island, Ireland[Bing.com]

The She-King of the Irish seas. The home of the O' Malley's, and famous residence of Grace O' Malley, the Pirate Queen. A mountainous island and approximately 16 sq. km in size. With its geographical location, outside the main land mass of Ireland, it is a perfect haven from a hectic life in the city.

Movies: Splice, the dark side of genetic engineering

Two Genetic Engineers on an unauthorized experiment, by introducing Human DNA into a new animal species. God-like it may seem. But, the two are about to discover, that their creation is turning into something that is not we thought of to be.

Humans as we are, and the boundaries of our knowledge and the thirst for deeper meaning of things could really bring us enlightenment and sometimes, worst, left us falling into the deeps of destruction and nothingness. The movie had already been released, and though I haven't seen it, the trailer depicts the plot of the story. You know a great experiment gone wild.

A discovery that made them superstars and a creation that turns into something that are not prepared for. It is a film that cautions us that we can go somewhere but that somewhere could be a disaster.

Apple: iPhone 4G conked out?

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, finally unveiled the iPhone 4G. The of the iPhone family which features video chat and HD screen. It was a thrilling occasion, just as always Jobs' does, with a just a little problem. What would you fell if you have been left out on a stage, alone, with a big blank web page on the background? Steve Jobs is known for wowing the crowd. Oh well, he did it again. But, with a wow in a down stroke.

Supposedly, in the launching, he's using the iPhone in Web Browsing. Of no avail, the show-off act failed. When he is about to unveil, the screen conked out and all the crowd got was a big blank Web Page. Well, I guess, it is in HD (perhaps).iPhone is a fine device. With the iPhone 4G coming into the shelves, now we can enjoy HD movies on it. But, at least Jobs and his team could make it right when they presented it.

Cars: Chrysler, voluntary recall for 600,000 jeeps and minivans

Chrysler, recently confirmed the recall of 683,000 Wrangler Jeeps and minivans. The voluntary recall is due to the brake-line and power sliding door issues. Previously, Toyota, suffered much over the "sticky accelerator" pedal with some reported road accident due to that failure.

Now, Chrysler is stepping ahead by informing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the recall. Though, there have been any related road accidents prior the recall, Chrysler just announced over a potential failures discovered on 2007~2010 Jeep Wranglers and 2008~2009 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.

The potential failures for the Jeep Wranglers, is that, the brake line could come in contact with the inner-fender lining. That could lead to reduce braking performance over time. While for the minivans, an interior wiring could come in contact with the sliding power door and thus could result to short circuit which could also lead to fire.

Internet Security: Adobe's Flash, reader loophole exploited

This was an update that was released last Friday. Reportedly, Adobe's Flash reader, vulnerabilities, were exploited by Cyber attackers and left the latest version of its player, the 10.0.45.2. If it does affects the latest version, so as the older versions of Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris media players.

Also vulnerable: PDF viewer Adobe Reader 9.x and PDF creation software Adobe Acrobat 9.x on Windows, Macintosh and Unix.

According to Secunia, a Danish bug tracker, the latest threat is extremely critical. A critical threat indeed, that, it made the US computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) on the alert and posted security warnings for the threat.

Sounds Alarming but it is that really a critical mess that these attackers have discovered within Adobe's Flash Shell?

According to Jobs, iPad is Magical. But Ballmer says it's a just another PC

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, countered the idea, that, the era of PC is waning. Maybe he can't sleep over the idea, a PC being a big old farm truck. That carries nothing but stacks of hay. Compared to the automatic and sophisticated cars in the city, Steve Jobs could mean that the PC has no longer a place in the current technology trend.

But, Steve Ballmer says otherwise. The iPad is just another PC with a different form factor. What the Apple did with the b was indeed magical. But then, at the end of the day, users send e-mails, surf the web and create documents in a PC. PC's are not created equal. With the iPad's limited functionality, it just can't do as much as a PC does and not everbody could afford it.

Shrek themed Glasses Pose Danger to Kids

Shrek Forever After debuted last May 21. The animated comedy features the voice of Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Antonio Bandera as Puss in Boots and the voice of Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona. The Ogre was cute and so are the Fairy Tale Characters on that movie. But, wait, let’s not get carried away.

It was good movie and I guess a nice treat for your kids. Yet, this latest news may not sound GP to you. McDonald's, the burger giant, had to recall 12 million of Shrek themed glasses. It was recalled due to cadmium content, discovered, on the painted design.

Oh no, these $2 - 16 ounce drinking glasses are really not cute. It's pretty cheap, but, not thanks. I don't want to end digesting those Cadmium content, especially to my kids.

How To: Fix a Lousy Mouse Scroll Wheel

Is your mouse has a scroll wheel on top of it? Are you experiencing some lousy scroll with it lately? Have every wondered what's the life span of the Mouse wheel for its effective function? Now, don't just throw away your mouse, if, it has been such a headache when you try to scroll over a page.

The symptom is intermittent, actually, and I will share to you a clever tweaks or repair that have I done to similar defect. The root cause with such defect actually is a worn out rotary scroll wheel axle socket. The fittings were already “lossy” and the axle cannot grip the socket to drive the rotary switch into motion.

You will need a Precision Screw Driver, and a couple of thin strips of adhesives and a scissor for cutting a tape into strips.

Would Rather Customize Your Google Search Page?

In the Blogspot today, Google announced that users can now let users use background on its minimalist search page. Google search page have been known for its traditional white background. The user has the option to upload their personal photos from their computer or from Google's Picasa Photo album.

It was a good thing though. But, why put user defined background in it. I mean it was better when it is all white and change the Google Icon from time to time. You know, that always thing that Google have done and reflects the season or any special occasion on that particular date.

Users may activate the customized feature by clicking the link located on the lower left corner of the search page. If you can't find it, maybe it's not available in your location as of the moment. According to Google, it will not affect the loading speed of the page and any activities you'll be having on that page.

How to: Simple Remedy of a PC that Randomly Crashes

Just because the Post-PC era is near it doesn't mean that there's no point anymore in taking good care of your PC. As long as it is working, keep it and take good care of it. It's not practical anymore in buying a new one. Not of course, if you are shifting to another PC lifestyle. You know, going to the "mainstream".

This would be the most common problem that PC users are encountering recently. It may sound a major problem that only a certified technician can do it. Well, need to worry for here is a simple and do it yourself remedy for such kind of problem.

There are only two major contributors for your PC to randomly crashes. It could be a software problem. Could be due to virus or you have installed an application which cause your OS to Freeze and unable to process anything. And the second contributor could be a hardware problem. So, let's get to work. All you need is yourself, a couple of screwdrivers and this guide of course.

Post-PC era and Windows for Every Tablet is near

Have you ever wondered if we still have those conventionally PC's we have will still be around for the next 5 to 10 years. Or, would you still buy them at that time. The PC (Personal Computer) I'm referring to is the conventional workstation we have at home and at work. Where in you have the CPU, and its corresponding Peripherals connected by cables and sorts of hardware attaching to it. Doing upgrades and such.

Also, on the same plane, when we speak about PC's we always tagged along with the OS in it. And since its inception, during the 1980's, almost 90% of PC's were using Windows Operating System. Now, with the prediction of evolving the Personal Computing into something else will Windows also dissolve in the decline of conventional PC demand.

Accidents with Google Map? Who should you blame?

I came to ask these questions when I read about a woman filing a lawsuit for google maps incorrect direction. The poor walking directions caused here a permanent physical and mental injuries for she was hit by a vehicle while walking on a dirt road.

According to her complaint, Google had recklessly, carelessly and negligent in providing unsafe directions. Supposedly the road that she have walked on has no sidewalks and with vehicles running at high speeds. Meaning to say, she is using the Google map for guidance and was struck by a vehicle due to lack of warnings from it.

Boys Hard Habit to Break with 40 sticks a day?

It's everywhere. Posted on Facebook and then suddenly blocked or removed. What's this hype that everyone wanted to see. When I heard about it, I've scoured through then net and then recently I've finally got it.

Excited on what I'm about to see, but when I'd finally got to see it, I was dismayed. Many found it amusing and interesting. For me, it's a complete tragedy and it was the most horrible thing I have ever seen. Who have ever thought the milk is best for babies.

Well, think again, for a toddler in Sumatra was hooked on this bad habit of nicotine since he was 18 months old. He was an attraction in his village and I think the parents were amused with his 40 pack of cigarettes a day. An average adult could do as much 1 pack a day and yet this boy slams the floor and cried when he can't have his vice.

The Tablet Parade, yet, the iPad is way Ahead.

The Tablet "Band Wagon" is here and guess who's playing? Recently, Asus and MSI unveiled its lines of Tablets. The iPad is really stirring it up and could other can keep up with the pace?

Slimmer Kindle In August? Do I still want a Kindle?

An ebook was a hit and put the bulky and dusty books into antiquity. Very comfortable and portable, I could enjoy my favorite novels and any other genre of reading you want. I think it was supposed to evolve the conventional reading and turns the rest of it an eBook.

If the iPad hasn't come, how would the Kindle be any better? Will it be like the iPad anyhow? If we don't have the iPad, will the kindle have a multi-touch display. Will it be in multicolor and not in a mono-colored text display? Or a same old boring texts just as like the conventional books always have?

Well, those were the questions so far and besides the existence of the iPad, Kindle had to put out a slimmer version of it? What for? Is it a marketing strategy on its way to challenge the supremacy of the Apple's tablet?

Apple: Wants Bing instead of Google?

Recent speculations that Apple is going to drop Google as its default search engine, and instead replaces it with Bing. Latest rumours suggest that on the next iPhone Operating Software version, it will make Bing as it default browser.

That's a big, Why? It is a fact that, Bing is Microsoft's bet in the search engine popularity. With the race in the search engine category, it also a known fact that none have beaten Google's supremacy, so far. Even with the "marriage" between Yahoo and Microsoft's Bing didn't even made a dent in the preferred search engine field.

So, why drop Google? Is Apple that a show-off and pretends to be better and deserves nothing but the best? Is Apple had enough with Google's application already? Is Apple, haven't had enough with its reluctance in supporting Flash?

Apple: iPad, you are a lifesaver.

"As soon, as I could get my hands on it, I will touch it". The iPad stole the scene in the tablet perspective since its debut on April 3, 2010. The sleek design and an open color touchscreen for web surfing and for all you  multimedia demands, the iPad surely relieves your thirst for it.

It was more like an over sized iPhone(basically). But, the impression and thrill it gave to the consumers  is overwhelming. Numerous, comments received since its launch. Good and not so good feed backs were equally received but, it never was a reason for this innovative gadget not to rose and even made Apple surpass Microsoft as the world's most valuable technology stock.

American Idol Season 9 Winner, Sucks!

I have always been a great fan of the American Idol series. I'm always excited with the fresh and new talent performing with their hearts out loud and hoping to have share of a good and inspiring thoughts from the judges.

Season 1 was the original and lots of good talent in there. Season 2 came and then 3, 4, 5 . . . and then came season 9. Right from the auditions I sense, that, this season shall be a boring one. And yes, indeed!. All of the seasons that came, they have their own share of best and worst auditions but Season 9, just sucks!.

And what's even worse, Lee DeWyze won.

One may choose to travel by land, sea and air. By land we have the wheeled transports. Automobiles and trains are the on the top list. By sea, there no other choice but to sail in the wide ocean. That is, if you don't want to go underwater. In a Submarine Perhaps? And by Air on a friendly winged bus.

Through the last 2 decades the demands for transport is increasing so as the accident that tragically goes with it. But, amidst the accidents, the Airplane still considered to be the safest way to travel. Plane Crash? How often can it be?
